Nanitor is pleased to announce release of version 1.8. This release introduces support for new vulnerability platforms, new benchmarks, enhanced agent handling, improved device handling and data export functionality.

Nanitor is committed to providing ongoing improvement to our continuous monitoring solution, delivering a best-in-class continuous monitoring, reporting and analytics solution. Customers of the Nanitor solution are aware of how important it is to have a clear overview of the state of their security configurations, known vulnerabilities and software patches, in particular when related to and mandated by industry compliance requirements.

Nanitor v1.8 introduces the following new functionality

Automated device labeling using derived subnet information

In environments with thousands of devices it can be challenging to keep track of their function and scope. Nanitor introduces new functionality that enables the solution to conveniently :

  • Discovery and keep track of all subnets and associated devices.

  • Automatically assign an device label based on the subnet.

  • Support filtering in reports based on device subnet label.

Search by asset IP address

In some environments the device naming convention does not provide system administrators with enough detail to quickly and accurately identify devices. Nanitor now also supports device lookup by simple IP address.

Export device list for CMDB systems

For IT infrastructures that have compliance requirements it is important to have a comprehensive list of devices and to ensure that all are ALL effectively monitored for mis-configurations and known vulnerabilities. Nanitor now supports exporting the device list for use by other systems as well as system administrators to effectively maintain a single list of all devices, identify gaps in coverage and do offline analytics.

Enhancements to CSV exports

Nanitor understands that being able to view and work with results offline is sometimes desirable. Reports such as Incidents, Vulnerabilities, Software, Changes, Users and Devices can now be exported for offline use, fields in the exported lists are user customisable.

Agent memory guard

The goal of the Nanitor agent architecture is to limit impact on devices and strive to be virtually invisible to the end-user. As part of our ongoing commitment we have now added self-management functionality where the agent now monitors it’s own memory footprint and reacts accordingly if memory usage goes above a certain threshold.New Benchmarks supported
